William Smith, III

Market Executive, North Florida Region

North Florida Regional Market Executive William Smith, a fourth generation Tallahasseean, began his banking career in 2007 after earning his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business & Economics from Auburn University. In 2012, he graduated from the Florida Bankers Association Florida School of Banking and currently devotes his expertise to providing strategic direction and oversight for all Capital City communities in the Big Bend area.

William is passionate about his community and takes an active role in its development through his professional associations and volunteer commitments. A past president of Access Tallahassee and a former member of the TMH Foundation board of directors, William currently serves on the boards of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and Big Bend Hospice.

Additionally, he is a member of the Florida Bankers Association and Tallahassee Young Entrepreneurs Organization, and an active supporter of the United Way of the Big Bend. In his spare time, William enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his wife and two sons.
