Bill Bechtol joined Capital City Bank in August 2024 as a private banker, bringing local private banking services to the North Central Florida region, including Gainesville, High Springs, Alachua and Jonesville. With more than 22 years of experience in financial services, Bechtol specializes in providing a concierge-style approach to banking, tailored to the needs of high-net-worth individuals. He helps clients manage their wealth, develop financial plans and meet their everyday banking needs.
A Gainesville native, Bechtol holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business and is a graduate of Florida Banking School. Before joining Capital City Bank, Bechtol held roles in commercial banking, banking office management and merchant services.
Committed to his community, Bechtol is a member of the Builders Association of North Central Florida and the Gainesville Quarterback Club. He is also a past president of the Rotary Club of Greater Gainesville and served on the board of the Children’s Home Society. Bechtol is an avid supporter of UF Gator Athletics and enjoys spending time with his two children, who are active in swimming, gymnastics and cheerleading. In his spare time, Bechtol enjoys fishing, traveling and cooking.
